A very busy and high energy week......just coming down from it....our first weekend at the art square gallery is going great! So many people coming through every day....and REALLY looking at the art, which is a wonderful thing. As always , we had our ever supportive family and friends come from far and wide to celebrate with us...and many strangers who ventured into the cafe....only to find art yet undiscovered.....and they really appreciated it.....sitting sipping their wonderful herbal teas and cappaccinos whilst pondering the paintings are their meanings!
Such a great week......as you know, I am happy to wile away the hours in a coffee shop.....and this is just a dream come true.....a feeling of such contentment and peace......to arrive at the place I thought I was heading.....showing in Toronto(for the second time!!) which seemed so unreal just a couple of years ago.....and find that it is pleasantly grounding and real and was a journey which still continues every day........
I created a piece just two days before my show went up....with no intention whatsoever to include it in the exhibition.....once completed however, it felt so powerful and honest, I felt the urge to include it.....though different from my other works....this is the one that is getting so much attention! A leap of faith...and a declaration of my feelings and beliefs...and the risk to reveal myself......the truth is always best!
